표면이 말리고, 접히고, 겹쳐지고, 걸리는 과정은 시간이 생성되고 축적되는 방식이다. 깊이를 두께나 질량이 아닌 얇은 표면들의 쌓임으로 이해할 때, 지질학은 곧 지리의 층위가 된다. 저 아래 혹은 저 위의 차원은 멀리 떨어진 것이 아니라 접힐 수 있는 거리로 존재한다.

그 거리는 표면의 끝과 끝을 맞닿게 접거나(folding), 겹치거나(overlapping), 혹은 걸어두는(hanging) 행위를 통해 좁혀진다. 이러한 제스처는 서로 다른 차원과 시간을 임시적으로 연결하며, 식탁보를 개고 말리거나 뜨거운 우유 위의 막, 수면 위의 부유물을 조심스럽게 걷어내는 일상적인 몸짓을 연상시킨다.

공간 안에는 스위치를 잡아당기면 켜지는 흰색 조명이 설치되어 있다. 조명이 켜질 때마다 벽의 하얀 면이 드러나고, 관람자는 빛의 점등과 소등을 통해 공간의 시퀀스를 경험한다. 말려진 금속판은 바닥에 펼쳐져 있거나 공중에 걸린 상태로 존재한다. 표면은 완결된 대상이 아니라, 잠시 머무는 상태로서 중간의 시간과 과정으로 드러낸다. 

The processes through which surfaces are rolled, folded, overlapped, and suspended are ways in which time is generated and accumulated. When depth is understood not as thickness or mass but as the layering of thin surfaces, geology becomes a stratification of geography. Dimensions above or below are no longer distant but exist as foldable distances.

These distances are narrowed through acts of bringing the ends of surfaces into contact—by folding, overlapping, or hanging them. Such gestures temporarily connect different dimensions and times, recalling everyday actions such as folding and drying a tablecloth, skimming the skin from heated milk, or carefully lifting floating matter from the surface of water.

Within the space, a white light activated by pulling a switch is installed. Each time the light is turned on, a white plane of the wall is revealed, and the viewer experiences the sequence of the space through the switching on and off of light. Rolled metal sheets lie spread on the floor or exist suspended in the air. The surface is not presented as a finished object, but as a temporary state through which intermediate time and process are revealed.
